Turpin & Rattan Engineering, Inc. is proud to celebrate a major milestone in Phase 1 of the Roosevelt Middle School Whole Site Modernization.
Founded in 1922 and located adjacent to the San Diego Zoo, Roosevelt is one of San Diego’s first junior high schools. Phase 1 is creating a more accessible, sustainable, secure, and modern campus through a new administration building, new classrooms, restroom upgrades, and major site and utility improvements.
As the Electrical and Fire Alarm Engineer and Technology Consultant, Turpin & Rattan Engineering, Inc. supported the project through upgraded power distribution, Title 24-compliant lighting and controls, enhanced life safety and security systems, modern telecommunications infrastructure, and electrical provisions for photovoltaic systems and electric vehicle charging.
The project team was also recognized by San Diego Unified School District for achieving an exceptionally low rate of architect and engineer errors and omissions to date.
Thank you to San Diego Unified School District, Sprotte+Watson Architecture, and the entire project team for the opportunity to contribute to this important campus transformation.
